Kishtwar District is a beautiful district of the state of Jammu and Kashmir of India. As of 2011, it is the third least populous district of Jammu and Kashmir, after Kargil and Leh. Area: 7,824 km² Population: 230,696 (2011).
Kishtwar district consists of 13 CD blocks: Marwah, Warwan, Dachan, Kishtwar, Nagsani, Drabshalla, Chatroo, Paddar, Thakrie, Bunjwah, Mughalmaidan, Palmar & Trigam. Each block consists of a number of panchayats.
The District Kishtwar is divided into seven (07) Educational Zones :- Drabshalla, Kishtwar, Nagseni, Padder, Inderwal, Marwah & Warman. There are 820 schools in these zones and in whole Kishtwar district.
The Literacy rate of District Kishtwar is 58.54% (Male=71.75% & Female=44.43%) 2011 cencus.
